For classic networks, a maximum recommended distance is 30 feet (open air).

For evolution networks, a maximum recommended distance is 50 feet (open air).

For long range networks, a maximum recommended distance is 80 feet (open air).

While the theoretical range of the Casambi BLE mesh is much higher then the above mentioned distances, all materials involved in both the physical products and typical construction will lower the range of nodes.

Materials that will severely lower the communication distance are:

-Metals

-Concrete

-Plasters

-Ceramic Tiles

-Glass

-Other 2.4Ghz frequencies

For classic only Casambi products, the power is +4dBm TX

For evolution  Casambi products, the power is +4dBm TX

For specific long range products, the TX power is configurable in the Casambi application (+4dBm to +16dBm)

Testing the range and connectivity between nodes and while installing Casambi equipment inside fixtures and enclosures is strongly suggested.
