Overview
Casambi Pro supports having a Casambi Cloud Gateway to enable remote access to networks created with the Casambi Pro.
The network to be controlled must have been shared as Admin only or Password protected to enable gateway use. It is not possible to use a gateway on an Open or Not shared network
Creating a Cloud Gateway placeholder
There can be one Cloud Gateway in each network. Like the controllers, a gateway can be created in advance as a placeholder which is later replaced by the real gateway unit. To create a gateway placeholder, right-click on top of the network name in the Networks pane and click New Device. | |
In the New Device dialog, make sure that the “Type” is Cloud Gateway, and then enter
|
|
After clicking the Create button in the dialog, the gateway placeholder element is displayed in the top left corner of the selected layout.
The placeholder can be freely moved into correct location in the layout. It can also be moved to another layout by selecting new location in the gateway properties.
Gateway’s properties can be found in the property pane.
