DCS - DALI Gateway (profile 9000) vs DALI Gateway [scene control] (profile 30306)

The DCS DALI Gateway profile (ID 9000) acts as a gateway between a wired DALI network and a wireless Casambi network. This allows control over the Casambi devices within the network through a DALI master:

However, it does not allow to activate Casambi scenes from the DALI system.


The DCS DALI Gateway [scene control] (ID 30306) allows what ID 9000 does not: activate Casambi scenes from DALI system. The limit is 16 scenes.


The configuration must be done in both sides:

  • Create the necessary scenes on Casambi side and configure them on the DCS DALI Gateway. Example:

                 

  • Address the devices on DALI software and match the scenes (if needed).


This profile also allows using a physical or logical push-button on the DCS DALI Gateway device, which will allow its usage as if it was a Casambi push button. Example:


               


The limit is 8 scenes.
