Gateway parameters: Energy data (DT51) update rate

When the Export DALI device data feature is enabled, the Energy data (DT51) update rate controls how often energy related information is refreshed.

Such data can for example be:

  • Power usage (W)
  • Energy consumption (kWh)
  • Operating hours
  • Voltage and current levels

The Energy data (DT51) update rate defines how often the Casambi fixtures DALI energy data is updated from memory banks 202 to 204 to the DALI device model of the CBU-DCS gateway. This ensures the connected DALI system can access up-to-date energy information from the fixtures.

In simple terms, Energy data (DT51) update rate sets the maximum age of the energy data stored in the CBU-DCS DALI gateway. The lower the update rate, the more frequently the data is refreshed.

Note: Higher update rate increases data flow in the Casambi network. The rate should be set within the updated speed needed by the connected system. Please also consider other data in the Casambi network causing loading of the network.
