The “DT6 features” setting controls how DALI Emergency devices are presented by the Casambi DALI Gateway.
By default, the gateway identifies these devices as supporting both DT6 and DT1 device types. This means that when a DALI controller sends a QUERY DEVICE TYPE or QUERY NEXT DEVICE TYPE command, the CBU-DCS gateway responds with both types, indicating it supports standard dimming (DT6) and emergency functionality (DT1).
However, some DALI controllers may not handle DT6 correctly or may not expect it. In such cases, you can select the option “[DT6] Not used (report as DT1-only)”. This changes the gateway’s behavior so that:
- Only DT1 is reported in response to device type queries.
- All DT6-related features are disabled for that device in the Casambi system.
This setting ensures better compatibility with controllers that expect emergency devices to report as DT1 only.
