Casambi app offers different DALI commands for CBU-DCS as DALI Gateway that can help troubleshoot possible errors on the setup. The list is shown on “More” --> “Gateways” --> Select the DALI Gateway --> “Details” --> tap on “DALI configuration”.
Identify devices: the devices attached to the CBU-DCS acting as DALI Gateway will flash. This includes DALI drivers and Emergency (DT1) devices.
SET FADE TIME [DALI GW]: Sets the same fade time to the devices attached in the configuration of to the CBU-DCS.
Initialize/Extend DALI addresses: Is used when new DALI Casambi devices are added to the system. Initially, the new added devices do not have an address assigned. Using this option will prompt a message on the app showing the number of new devices added. The first unused address will be used for the new device.
Fixture initialization commands: This option requests the Casambi device for the execution of its fixture-specific DALI commands. The action usually runs automatically (when there are firmware updates or fixture changes, for example), but when new DALI devices are added, the option allows the user to activate it manually.
RESET DALI devices: It sends a “Reset” broadcast command. The addresses are not changed, and it only returns device parameters to factory/DALI defaults.
Remove DALI addresses: This option will erase the current device addresses.
Re-address DALI devices: With this option, the user can erase current addresses and re-address them.
Clear DALI details: This option removes previously obtained scanning information, but it does not affect current addressing or configuration of DALI devices. It also clears the list “missing” or removes DALI devices, so the addresses can be used again.
Scan DALI devices: It performs a scan on the DALI bus, looking for any devices connected.
